I just returned from a stay at the Aloe Hotel in Paphos, and honestly, it was a mixed bag. While the pool area was a nice spot to unwind and the staff members were super friendly, the room I stayed in was outdated and not as clean as I hoped. The food was often lukewarm and uninspired, which pushed me to eat out a few times during my stay.

Rooms
5.0
My room felt tired, with old carpet and dated furniture. It had some cleanliness issues, but the bed was comfortable enough for a good night's sleep.
Service
8.0
The staff were the highlight of my stay. They were always friendly and willing to help, making me feel welcomed throughout my time there.
Location
8.0
The location is a definite plus; I could easily walk to the harbor or the beach. Plus, there were plenty of local shops and restaurants to explore nearby.
Dining
5.0
The dining options left a lot to be desired. Although breakfast had some variety, the food quality was often poor, which made me prefer eating out instead.
Facilities
6.0
The pool area was really nice and clean, perfect for chilling out, but the overall hotel needed some refurbishment, especially around communal areas.

I had a pleasant stay at Aloe Hotel, finding the location great for exploring Paphos. The pools were well-maintained and the breakfast offered a nice variety, but the rooms definitely need some refurbishment, and the dining options beyond breakfast left much to be desired. Overall, it was a decent experience, but some improvements are needed in terms of room quality and food variety.

Rooms
6.0
The room I stayed in was basic but had everything I needed. However, it was quite dated, and the shower didn't work, which was disappointing. The air conditioning felt more like a desk fan than an actual air conditioning unit, making it uncomfortable during the hotter months.
Service
7.0
The staff I encountered were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. However, the process of changing rooms was a bit frustrating, especially when I couldn't view the new room because of a 'do not disturb' sign.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location was fantastic—just a short walk to both Alykes Beach and the Harbor area, which was great for dining and shopping. Additionally, local shops were conveniently close for essentials.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was quite good with a decent buffet selection, but lunch and dinner menus were limited and often repetitive. I found better dining options nearby in the local restaurants.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel had two clean swimming pools and offered free towels, which was a nice touch. However, some amenities, such as the indoor pool, were not available during my visit.

My stay at Aloe Hotel in Paphos had its ups and downs. While the staff were friendly and the breakfast offered enough variety, the room needed some attention. I loved the location near the beach, but I felt the entertainment options could use improvement. Overall, it's a place with potential, especially with the right updates. 🌊✨

Rooms

My first room was cramped, but I eventually got a spacious double room with a sea view. The furnishings felt outdated, though the cleanliness was commendable.
Service
8.0
The staff were pleasant and attentive, always eager to help with requests. The cleaning team kept my room tidy and well-stocked throughout my stay.
Location

The hotel is ideally located, just a short walk from the harbor. I enjoyed leisurely strolls in the area, taking in nearby shops and restaurants.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was a bit uninspired and repetitive, with limited options that didn't feel hygienic. However, I appreciated the good vegetarian choices for lunch and dinner.
Facilities
6.0
The pool areas were nice and generally clean, but some of the artificial grass looked like it could cause trips. The overall entertainment was lacking, which was disappointing.

I had a balance of good and not-so-great experiences at Aloe Hotel. While the cleanliness was impressive, and the staff were notably friendly, the overall decor felt quite dated, taking me back to the '70s. Additionally, the breakfast options, while varied, didn’t always meet expectations in quality. For the price I paid, I received decent value, but there were things I wish had been better.

Rooms
6.0
My room was spacious and clean, despite being a bit outdated. It had a nice bathroom and offered a comfortable stay, which I appreciated. However, I did notice some little ants after two days, which was a downside.
Service
10.0
The staff were a highlight of my stay. They were always friendly and helpful, particularly during check-in. Elina at reception helped me with a luggage issue, which was great. Overall, their attentiveness significantly enhanced my experience.
Location
8.0
The location was one of the best features. It was easily within walking distance to Paphos's city center, making it convenient to explore local restaurants and shops. The nearby bus stop was handy too, with buses that made it easy to reach various attractions.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast had a good variety with fresh options, though some cooked items, especially the beans and bacon, didn’t match the quality I'd hoped for. I was vegetarian, and they did offer a selection of salads and dishes that were satisfactory. The dining space also felt adequate for the number of guests.
Facilities
6.0
While I enjoyed the cleanliness of the pool area, I found the pool itself a bit small, and the gym equipment was outdated and poorly maintained, which was disappointing. Also, there were no brewing facilities in my room, but I could rent a kettle from reception.

My stay at Aloe Hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The cleanliness of the hotel was impressive, and the proximity to the beach and harbor made exploring easy. However, the hotel itself feels dated and could use significant renovations. I also found the dining options to be lacking in variety and quality, despite some dishes being enjoyable. Overall, it could be a great place with some improvements. 😕
